Blessings in Style

So updates are due for prayer requests from the Green House all the way in Uganda, Africa. I received the following email from Kevin a few weeks ago.."How are you doing? Hope everything is great. We want to greet you in the name of the Lord and wanna thank you for the great things you are doing. We the people of greenhouse orphanage appreciate all the work you are putting in to let everyone know about us. It's the greatest thing to us." He went out to tell us of some prayer requests that they are raising money for there.."child sponsorship program, anyone wishing to sponsor a child should contact World Help and ask for greenhouse orphanage. We are in need of new land for ourselves where the kids are free and can play soccer and other things that they like. The land costs $17,000 for three acres. We also want to build a new orphanage on that land to fit 100 children and all the children will have their own beds and space to put their clothes. The cost is $115,000. The last thing that was listed was a request for Internet at their home with is an installation and a monthly payment of $35."Well I was glad to get the email to know which projects we are working toward..but WOW! that's a lot of money :) The house that the kids live in now is very small and all of them have to share a small twin bed with one another. It would be great to see these kids have a place to play and sleep. World Help has been helping with sending down money for food now so that is a huge help!
So updates on the business..it's going awesome! Picture on the left shows my last appointment with which I helped her with a whole new wardrobe! She is loving it and looking great. I've had a total of $1,000 estimated donated since December. That includes A LOT of work but meeting amazing people and having a lot of fun. Also, FashionEastA was able to donate their services for TWO other non-profit events where the services were auctioned off. I am overwhelmed with the amount of support I am getting from family and friends, it seems this is something that just "fits" in the D.C. area ;) I am reminded of the verse "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3. Don't forget the faces, don't forget the needs, and don't forget that God has formed each one of us with a purpose.
