Ever wonder what it's like to be at an orphange in Uganda and if the funds REALLY help the children? Well, I was able to witness first hand that the answer is yes. As we partnered with
World Help all week, we are able to first visit the Good Samartian's Children's Home. They house and educate over 600 children! Our visit was great as we looked at the needs of the unfinished buildings that will complete classrooms and housing for the children. There are "mothers" that live here with the children and the teachers come in to work everyday, some play both roles. We were able to hand out, with your help, school supplies for each student! They received new notepads and pencils. We were so encouraged by the singing, dancing and thank yous we received. :)
We spent a few hours here with the children making new friends and watching them enjoy their new gifts. We then walked around the "homes" in the area and gave out food to three families. The families consisted a grandparent taking care of the children because the parents had died of AIDS. These situation was most common for the children that were accepted to this home. I was moved by the children and the way they interected with us and eachother. They seemed to be really obiedient and respectful! After two days of traveling..it was an awesome start to an amazing week!

Very cool!
